Congratulations – Nanaimo Toy Run Society

Congratulations to the Nanaimo Toy Run Society for their contribution to The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive for 2011. The First Annual Nanaimo Toy Run was held on July 2, 2011, and there was a turnout of over 300 bikes for the first annual run.

The Nanaimo Toy Run Society donated $9,460.00 in toys and cash to the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive, which will be distributed to about 700 needy families in the Nanaimo area with toy distribution to be at the old Harewood School gym on Dec. 19 and 20. Visit the Nanaimo Toy Run Society’s website to view photos and videos of the run. With such a success on their first event, the 2nd annual Nanaimo Toy Run promises to also be a great event. With the 3 live bands that provided entertainment last year, the beer gardens and the bike rodeo, there should be lots of fun for everybody.
