2012 Nanaimo Toy Run Route Has Been Extended
The Nanaimo Toy Run route has been extended this year, and now includes a loop through Yellow Point Road before heading through downtown Nanaimo. Also, the route through downtown Nanaimo has been changed, and will now proceed along Haliburton Street before heading through the downtown core along Front Street and Comox Road. The RCMP will be shutting down the intersection at Comox Road and Highway 1 to allow the riders to stay in a group.

The crew at the Nanaimo Toy Run Society have also done a great job of lining up 6 local bands to play at the event on June 30,2012. The beer gardens, operted by the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge will be open from about 12:00 on, and there will once again be adult biker games for all to enjoy. There will also be kids events and attractions, helping to make the event family friendly.
